Following on from the success of the 12 Big Bash(es) series last year, Double Six kicked off BB08 with a first gig featuring a live PA from Bandung electro-punk jesters Mobil Derek, who dropped crunching breakbeats, ragga vibes and deep tech until 4.30 in the am, including their hit ‘Radical Instinct.’ Juggernaut style.

Bali Kama Sutra - Nidji Live on Stage

Dec 28th, Five minutes after midnight, Rama, Run-D, Andro, Ariel and Adri, stepped up to the stage and took their positions and the crowd went wild. Literally.
By the time Giring, the frizzy haired lead vocalist had pulled back the hood of his tracksuit and grabbed the mic to start singing “Heaven,” the whole place started rocking like a choppy ocean, with all arms raised in the air. This was the third performance by Nidji in Bali and definitely the best so far, with great energy between the band and the fans. The band played a healthy 15 track set, including hits from their huge second album, “biarlah” (Let It Be) providing the cherry topping. Who cared about the rain and tropical winds whistling outside? Nidji brought their rainbow to the house.
